Cambodia’s job market performs well with low unemployment rate

According to Cambodian media reports, Minister of Labor Heng Sok said that Cambodia's job market has performed well and maintained an employment rate of about 99%. In addition, working and living conditions have also improved year by year.
Mr. Hing Sok said that currently the number of factories and enterprises in Phnom Penh has reached 9323, with a total number of registered workers of more than 66.Additionally, the total salary here is a staggering $20 billion.Among them, there are 734 factories and enterprises in the garment industry, with more than 34 workers and a total salary of more than 10 billion US dollars per year.It can be seen that Phnom Penh has huge potential for economic development and is one of the most important economic centers in Cambodia.Mr. Hinsok also pointed out that Phnom Penh is the only economic pole in Cambodia and has the largest number of factories and enterprises.This conclusion also confirms Phnom Penh’s key position in Cambodia’s economy and its huge contribution to the country’s economic development.
